Malmo Beach, Sweden

Sea is always a best place to take some good photographs. Last weekend I went alone to the Malmö sea beach to take some more beach and sea photographs. It was raining the whole Friday night and the sky was covered with thick black clouds. The clouds in Scandinavia are the darkest clouds you can ever find. Sometimes I think they say me “Dumb Photographer just go and sleep do not waste your time here”. But they do not know that I am learner and learner are super-motivated.

I came to this place many times before, so I know this place quite well. Do I?

This is the one of the photos I took that morning.

Monument to Alfonso XII in Retiro Park Madrid

Last week when I was in Madrid, me and Chanchal (My Wife) we walked through Retiro Park. This park is one of the most interesting place in Madrid. I took some photograph of Chanchal first (Highest Priority) and then started taking some photos of Monument to Alfonso XI. This is one of the most beautiful structure I have seen in recent times. The evening was quite beautiful with some patches of clouds and lovely sunset. Luckily I found a place just in front of Monument to Alfonso XI. I took some test shots first then used F/8 and took photographs with three different exposures.

Today I merged the photos in Photomatrix and used Topaz adjust in Photoshop. I am quite happy with the result.

Arco de la Victoria

Thursday morning I started early just to capture some more photographs of some other places. The idea was to take some photographs of Arco de la Victoria and nearby areas. When I reached Arco de la Victoria, the place was little bit busy. I walked straight, mounted the camera on my Manfretto tripod and stared taking pictures from different angles with different exposures.

Processed one of the photo in Photomatrix and Photoshop today.

Templo de Debod in Madrid

I was in Madrid last week for an official assignment. This was my 3rd visit to Madrid but hardly I know the city. So I was quite determined this time to see and photograph some places. Monday was quite busy. So I decided to walk around a bit to know the city and to get some idea about which places I can come back and take pictures. I walked through the Gran Via and went straight to words Banka de Espana. I was very much tired so after having a nice dinner I came back to hotel. Tuesday while talking to the driver of my cab I got some good information about different places and history of Madrid. So on Tuesday evening after work I walked and visited the Templo de Debod, Royal Palace, the church, SOL and other places nearby.

On Wednesday Morning I woke up early and went straight to Templo de Debod as the place was very busy to photograph during the earlier evening. I took shots from different angles using exposer -2, 0 and 2.

There is still no time to process all my photos. I will process and post all the photos soon. This one I processed very quickly yesterday evening.

Burning Dreams

This was the same morning when I went with my friend Bharat early in the morning to get some sunrise shots. I did not think I will get something like this. I learnt a lot of things from this session also. One thing I learnt is that you have to Burn your Dreams and be a early riser to be a good photographer. Its not like buying the most expensive stuffs from the market and dream hard, reading a lot of photography books, planning and never going out.

The second thing I learnt I just need to think some other way and try different things. Of course I am a beginner and I am learning the basic techniques first. But I need to see the world in a different way at least sometimes.

I got this when I just tried different. Tell me what do you think.

Last weekend Bharat was here in Malmo. Bharat is one of my best friend from University days. After moving to Helsingborg, Sweden in February he was quite busy in his job. So it was a great weekend as we were meeting after long. Oh I forgot to mention that Bharat is also a armature photographer like me. He reached on Friday evening and we decided to go to Malmo beach early in the morning to get some great sunrise shots. The next day we started quite early and reached at the beach at perfect time. The Sun was still in the horizon. I started taking photos from children playing area.

Checkout the shots and tell me what do you think about them.
